AFC Coaches

We support a diverse range of experienced, licensed coaches from around the world including England, Scotland, Ireland, Liberia, and even the USA!  Our coaches remain with their specific teams both during training and for games as we belive consistency is a big requirement for development.  Our coaches are educated in the tactical, technical and physical side of soccer so as to help a player reach their full potential by being well taught in the different areas of the game.

Heather Lawrence – Club Administrator
 
Heather grew up in Florida where she also attended college.  She met and married Bill at Southeastern Seminary in North Carolina and together they embarked on an exciting adventure in life and ministry.  Heather and Bill have two sons, Stephen and Ian.  As a family, they have served as missionaries in Costa Rica, Uruguay and England.  Heather has always worked alongside of Bill in ministry and now handles AFC's book keeping and administration functions. 
 
 
William Tarpeh – Head Coach
 
William is a former Liberian National team player who has had great success in coaching teams at every level, including professional teams.  In recent years William has been focusing his coaching abilities on youth players and even ran his own youth academy in Hungary.  Through this Academy more than 120 players were coached over a 2 year period.  William has coached numerous players that have gone on to become professional players at the highest level.
 
Kelli "Z" Reasoner – Coach
 
Kelli moved to Ohio from Bremerton, Washington in 2002 and joined AFC there after.  Kelli has many levels of playing experience from NCAA Division II Women's soccer at Western Washington University to playing semi-pro in the Pacific Coast League and professionally in the South Africa Vodacom League for the Women's Mamalodi Sundown's.  Kelli has been blessed to have played all over the world in fifteen different countries ranging from Europe, UK and Africa.  In addition to Kelli's playing experience, she also brings a range of coaching exerience as well from the youth up to the Collegiate level.  She currently holds a USSF National "D" License and has a passion to develop players beyond just soccer!
 
Kent Manson – Head Coach
 
Kent is one of the only Americans to ever play in Japan's domestic league, the J-League.  Kent signed into Kashiwa Reysol's youth system at age 16 and played with the club for three years.  Kent has also been a player under Martin Rennie’s coaching at the Cascade Surge in Oregon.  Kent has been coaching youth soccer for the past 4 years and has proven successful at developing young players.
 
Angelo Finelli – Head Coach
 
Angelo played soccer for Cleveland Futbol Club for 10 years, making it to the U17 boys Snickers National Tournament twice and the quarterfinals of the Gothia Cup in Sweden.  He played college soccer at Eastern University, going to the NCAA tournament his freshman year.  Now in college at Akron, last fall he coached the Varisty White Team at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, and assisted the State title winning Varsity Blue Team at CVCA with Jason Spodnik.
 
Steve Kasiguran – Head Coach
 
Steve has over 20 years of experience training and developing young soccer players. He has led four high school teams to State Championships, twice receiving Coach of the Year honors in the Western Reserve Conference, and won many tournaments and State titles at Club level. 
 
Caleb Fortune – Head Coach
 
Growing up in south-east London, Caleb has been playing soccer from a young age.  Caleb played in his first adult league game at 12 and played consistently in local leagues throughout high school.  He then captained one of his College teams, going on to win the County Cup.  Caleb has coaching qualifications from England and experience coaching in various community projects in London, including a program with Charlton Athletic, a professional team that competes in The Championship league in England.
 
Mario Houston - Goalkeeper Coach
 
Coach Houston has a USSF D License, a NSCAA Regional Goalkeepers Certification, and has been coaching youth soccer almost 10 years. He is a Travel Coach and the Goalkeeper Coach for Twinsburg A.C. Soccer. Prior to coaching for Ambassadors F.C. and Twinsburg A.C. Coach Houston was a coach for the Euclid Youth Soccer Organization where he was also a board member for two years. Coach Houston played High School Varsity soccer in the Northeastern Ohio area and played club level soccer in Arizona. Additionally, Coach Houston has been a USSF referee since 2008
 
Caleb Eernisse – Head Coach
 
Caleb grew up playing soccer in Europe and Africa as a missionary kid.  he played soccer at Taylor University, where he started every game of his collegegiate career.  he went on to play two sesasons for the Cascase Surge, a semi-professional team in Salem, OR.  After that he moved to Thailand for a ayear where he played professional soccer in the second division for Chiang Mai F.C.  Caleb has years of experience coaching and developing youth players form all over the world.
 
Matt Pheneger - Head Coach

Matt played soccer at Houghton College & North Park University, where he subsequently served as the men’s & women’s assistant coach.  He spent 3 years playing & coaching in Granada, Spain.  He has traveled with Ambassadors in Sport to play & coach in several countries.  He has been a coach educator in Spain, South Africa, Haiti, Indonesia & others.
