Martin Rennie – Former Club Director (’07-’08)
Head Coach, Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS)
Originally from Scotland, Rennie’s meteoric ascent through the coaching ranks is something that few people have ever accomplished. After a knee injury forced an end to his playing career, Rennie quickly focused on the coaching world, becoming one of the youngest people to achieve the UEFA ‘A’ license and one of only a handful of people worldwide to earn both a UEFA ‘A’ License and UEFA Youth License. Prior to the MLS, Rennie also led Ambassadors FC, Cascade Surge (PDL), Cleveland City Stars (USL) & Carolina RailHawks (NASL).
Stef vanMeerveld – Former Club Director (’01-’05)
Assistant Coach, Indonesian National Futsal Team First Team Coach, AVW’66 (Netherlands)
Growing up in The Netherlands, Stef enjoyed a very successful playing career, appearing for multiple professional teams across the country, such as BVO Vitesse & De Graafschap, in both soccer and futsal leagues. In 2001, Stef joined on with Ambassadors and served as a coach and club director until 2005. Since then he has gone on to found a soccer academy in Southeast Asia as well as serving as an assistant coach for the Indonesian National Futsal Team.
Derek Potteiger – Former Club Director (’08)
Assistant Coach, Naval Academy
Following a successful college career at Penn State and a successful professional playing career at both the Cleveland City Stars and the Harrisburg City Islanders, Potteiger turned his sights towards coaching. Potteiger served as the AFC director and coached within the club during 2008.
Shane Dasher – Former Club Coach
Head Coach, Montreat College
Dasher grew up in the Cleveland area, starring at Cleveland State University and professionally for the Cascade Surge and Cleveland Force reserves. After coaching and serving as AFC club director, Dasher has gone on to coach at Northwest Christian University, Covenant College, Davao FC (Philippines) & Montreat College.
